This is Dominican Amber which is fossilized tree resin, it’s not a mineral, but hardened sap from extinct tropical trees in the Caribbean.
While the sap is still sticky small insects, plants, or even air bubbles get trapped inside and over time it will harden and fossilize perfectly preserving whatever was inside.
